Wine Tourism

Portugal is ahead of the game in the new Europe. With its unrivalled treasury of native grape varieties and its different climatic zones, the influence of the Atlantic, it has all it needs to produce top quality wines. We at Quinta de Sant’Ana have in the last seven years proved that the Portugal's Estremadura can impress with some excellent wines.

Quinta de Sant’Ana, just northwest of Lisbon, is a small family run vineyard: national varieties thrive amid some carefully chosen international grapes. Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Merlot, Pinot Noir ripen well in our moderate climate and result in deliciously concentrated and complex reds.

Our white varieties are Fernão Pires, Alvarinho, Verdelho, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling: our style is “cool climate” and our aim to produce fresh, expressive and mouth-filling flavours with great texture and lengthy finish.

We offer an authentic experience of “Portugal in a nutshell”: winemaker James Frost hosts a short visit to the softly rolling vineyards followed by a cellar tasting in the impressive century old cellars, presenting our project. Our wines are complemented by regional culinary treats turning a visit to our winery into an interesting and highly entertaining event.
