Wine Tastings

When receiving guests, we offer an authentic experience of “Portugal in a nutshell” including a short visit to the softly rolling vineyards followed by a tasting in the impressive century-old cellars.

Portugal is ahead of the game in the new Europe. With its unrivalled treasure chest of over 250 indigenous grape varieties and its different climatic zones, it has all it needs to produce top quality wines.

Quinta de Sant’Ana, just northwest of Lisbon, is a small family run vineyard: national varieties thrive amid some carefully chosen international grape varieties. Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Ramisco ripen well in our moderate climate and result in deliciously elegant and complex reds.

Our white varieties are Fernão Pires, Verdelho, Alvarinho, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Arinto: our style is “cool climate” and our aim is to produce fresh, mineral gastronomic wines with great texture and a lengthy finish.

Our wines are complemented by regional culinary treats, turning a visit to our winery into an interesting and entertaining treat.

The wines can be purchased in our small shop.
