There is always a touch of melancholy in the air at the end of summer. The swallows screech through the village like a gang of mischievous children before setting off for distant shores. The colours deepen: the ochre yellows glow richer with the morning dew, the nêspera trees and wisteria turn a darker, more thoughtful green.

The boys begin to realize their carefree days are over, reluctantly gathering their things before returning to school, university, or work. There’s always time for “one last trip to the beach” with friends, before the realities of life claims them back.

Here at Quinta de Sant’Ana, another feeling mingles with this bittersweetness: after countless hours, days, weeks and months of relentlessness, the Festival da Nossa Terra is like the bright light at the end of the tunnel. It brings with it a little more freedom, a little more time for ourselves. At last we can ease off the pedal, just a little, because it is officially: the END OF SEASON!

For the 16th time, we are bursting at the seams with joy at the thought of celebrating life in all its fullness with you: grateful to be alive and kicking, to live in peace, and to call one of the most beautiful corners of the world our home. Together with you — our incredible staff family and their loved ones, who carry the load with us day after day; you, our relatives and friends, near and far; you, our beloved Gradil family, who have cheered us on and put up with us for over 23 years; and of course, all of you dear clients whose laughter, energy, and glasses raised high bring joy and honour to our village.

The wine is fermenting, the água-pé is ready, skirts and dresses are pressed, the bands are lined up, the pork  is roasting: so come and celebrate life with us once more!

As part of our Festival da Nossa Terra, we raise funds to support local causes, from enhancing village amenities to uplifting community projects. We would be truly grateful if you could join us in supporting these meaningful causes with a donation, whether in products, services, or financial support, to help us maximize our contribution. Your generosity will go a long way in supporting this cause, and we would be thrilled to have your name associated with this heartfelt initiative.
